Our Process

Our sunglasses are designed in-house by our founder and creative director, Suki. The designs are inspired by her travels, experiences, the people she meets and her dreams that can be.

Once design is approved and delivered, the production cycle begins. All our sunglasses are handmade, so while that may mean each piece takes a little longer to make, it ensures the highest of quality and craftsmanship.

The first step is to cut the wood aspects to the sunglasses into veneers and glue them together.

The glasses are then put into a high-pressure machine which makes the multilayered wood tough yet flexible. The wooden pieces need to be in the machines for 15 - 30 minutes.

Once the veneers have been moulded and shaped, they are cut to fit the style of the design. Each frame is then hand finished, machine polished and then waxed with a natural wood wax.

Hinges and temples are assembled, or acetate tips added depending on the style of the design. We engrave our logo and finally each pair of sunglasses is checked for quality and finishings. Once approved, they are ready to be sold.
